Collecting the key

The key for the rented holiday home will be handed over at the DANIBO office in Nordby. You will also receive a special envelope for taking down meter readings and consumptions.

Tenants who may arrive late and after hours are kindly asked to let DANIBO know in advance for other arrangements for collection to be made. For tenants arriving after hours there will be a message in the window at our office.

In case of emergency while in Fanø, DANIBO can always be reached by phone. Call 75163699.


Electricity, telephone and oil-fired central heating
The tenant may have to switch on the relay when arriving at the holiday home. When handed over the key the tenant will also receive a special envelope for meter readings.

Electricity:

The electric meter must be read immediately after arriving at the holiday home and the reading entered on the special envelope. Please be aware that all figures must be taken down as it is a full number (no decimal). The electric meter must also be read just before departure.

The electric meter is often to be found on the outside of the cottage or apartment.

Telephone:

In most cases when a telephone is available, a small counter has been installed. The counter must be read right after arriving at the holiday home as well as before departure.

The counter has two buttons. Please press "total" and take down the number appearing in the display. This number must also be entered on the envelope.

Oil: Very few cottages have oil-fired central heating. In that case the meter must be read and the number taken down on the envelope.

Complaints:

Complaints concerning the rented holiday home must immediately be reported to DANIBO's office and no later than two days after arrival.

Complaints concerning cleaning must be reported on day of arrival.

The tenant is obliged to allow DANIBO a fair amount of time to rectify any defects reported by the tenant. If the tenant departs without verbally having notified DANIBO of any defects, DANIBO cannot be held responsible. In such a case the tenant has not allowed DANIBO a fair chance to rectify the problem, but made a rectification impossible.

Repairs:

Extras like dish washer, washing machine, tumble dryer, satellite dish etc. out of order cannot always be repaired on Saturdays and Sundays. It is often necessary to get assistance from the mainland, which cannot always happen on the same day that the defect occurred.

DANIBO is not liable for such short-termed interruptions.

DANIBO has an extra set of keys for each cottage and apartment. Therefore, in case of repairs, the tenant is not bound to stay in.

Noise nuisance: When on holiday in Fanø, everyday life will proceed and noise is part of it. It may be a building site, airplanes, cars or another kind of traffic. It cannot be avoided, nor is DANIBO responsible. We rely on the holidaymakers' understanding of this.
Insects: The occurrence of insects and vermins (flies, spiders, ants, woodlice, mice etc) is natural in an area like Fanø, and DANIBO cannot be held responsible. In case of extreme nuisance the tenant may inform DANIBO and we will try to help the best way we can.

Pool service
Every week, pool inspection is carried out in all holiday homes offering swimmingpools and large whirlpools which permanently stand with water to check the quality of the water.

Cottages with swimmingpool: 275, 301, 485, 749, 751, 913, 1030 og 1054.

Cottages with large whirlpools: 404, 470, 475, 751, 755, 772, 899, 964, 1039, 1050 og 1111.

Please notice that inspection is carried out regardless of the tenant being present or not.


Refuse disposal

Only the special grey bags are collected. Therefore, please do not place any other bags by the bin. Extra Fanø-Grøn bags can be bought from DANIBO at DKK 75 each.

Waste must be sorted and cans, glass and paper put into the special containers which can be found in different places in Fanø

Location of the recyclable trash bins

Ashes from woodburning stoves must always be cooled. It must be made sure that the ashes are not live before wrapped in plastic and put in the bin.
